Painting the Town Red

The PRM staff and lecturers showed that 'FRIDAY THE 13th' could not scare off a good PR professional! We celebrated it in style by supporting Dress Red, the fundraiser in aid of the Heart and Stroke Foundation SA (HSFSA). Here are some photos from the day... the good, bad and all red!

Joao Alberts ( PA to the head of department), Monique Boucher (of STREAMLINE) and Prof. Johann van der Merwe, the funniest Head of Department at CPUT.

Ayesha Toyer, Junior Lecturer: Public Relations and Communication Science.

Lauren Dyers (PR Assistant/intern in the PRM department) and Monique Boucher.

Ayesha Toyer spoiled everyone with a Valentine's gift (yummy chocolate). Ayesha, you are such a sweetie!

Monique Boucher and Azra Dawood (Graduate Assistant and B Tech PR student) both worked at the HSFSA during their PR internship.

Unfortunately Thabisa Nondzube, Junior Lecturer: End-User Computing and Marketing & Advertising for PR, dashed off to class before we could get a photograph of her. She was dressed from head to toe in red (including the nail polish). Thanks to the other Dress Red supporters: the camera-shy Marian Pike, Senior Lecturer: Media Studies, Rifqah Abrahams, Junior Lecturer: Media Studies, and Elza Myburgh, Lecturer: Communications Science 3 and English, who wore her Dress Red Sticker proudly.

Next year we hope that more staff members and students would show their support, find something red and donate R 5 to fighting heart disease.
